I think once you set APN correctly, you need not actually set anything else on Treo.
Neverthe less, if somebody wants help, please give your email address, I will contact you.

Sometimes I find that there is browser error accessing websites. Never the less when I enter numeric IP address (like 72.14.221.104 for google.com) there is no error and web page loads normal. This indicates that BSNL's DNS server is not working.

If you want to manually enter DNS server addresses just for tweaking or experimenting, these may be any one of the following:
218.248.255.145
61.1.96.71
61.1.96.69
61.1.96.65

Configuring GPRS for BSNL west postpaid mobile.

So here I am! Writing my first blog.

Intention of this perticuler blog entry is to help other postpaid mobile users in BSNL West in India who want to configure their handsets for GPRS. Please bear in mind that settings are different for prepaid users and also varies for ther regions i.e. North, East etc.

I did this with my Treo 600 handset. GPRS settings are quite generic. I do not know about Nokia and other phones but I guess with little tweaking and trial and error, one can get his/her phone working.

So here are the settings:

Connection type: GPRS
User Name: (keep blank)
Password: (keep blank)
APN: gprswest.cellone.in (This is the most important setting)
IP Address: Automatic
Query DNS: Yes (Check box selected)

Do not use Proxy Server in browser settings.

That's all. There is nothing much to configure on my Treo. Hope this information will be usefull to others.
